We provide specialist consultancy to the timber joinery, window, and door industry, supporting businesses with factory planning, process improvement, waste reduction, and productivity gains. Our experience covers both large and small machine centres, CNC setup, window line production, and tooling solutions. With more than 40 years in joinery and furniture manufacturing, including over 17 years in technical leadership within a high-quality timber window and door business, we bring practical industry knowledge backed by real operational experience.
We offer a full design and technical support service for high-performance timber windows and doors, including manufacturing details for production across a wide range of joinery machinery using AutoCAD 2D. Our support is focused on developing products that are practical to manufacture, technically robust, and aligned with recognised industry standards for weather performance, operational durability, and enhanced security, including BS 6375 and PAS 24 for Approved Document Q compliance.

Our technical support includes guidance on acoustic and thermal performance to help meet building regulation requirements, together with advice on glazing methods, insulated glass unit specification, and practical glass solutions suited to the end application. We help clients align product design, performance targets, and specification requirements so that timber windows and doors are not only compliant, but also commercially viable and ready for market.
We also support businesses with timber procurement strategy and chain of custody systems for FSC and PEFC certification. Our knowledge covers a broad range of timber and material options, including solid hardwoods, engineered laminated sections, and modified timbers, with practical understanding of sourcing, product suitability, and manufacturing performance. In addition, we provide informed guidance around third-party verification and certification routes, including BSI Kitemark and BM TRADA Q-Mark schemes, helping businesses strengthen technical credibility and market confidence.

We project managed the installation of a new CNC router which will future proof the business and increase productivity while reducing labour times. This project required product design, a new factory layout to lean manufacturing.

The management team in Italy signing off the new SCM router that will change the way they manufacture all joinery but especially windows & doors.

Looked at the core production process and material procurement to focus the business on the changes needed to improve margin and manufacturing methods.

Carrs acquired a CNC centre without the knowledge to use. We project managed the purchase of a tool solution and clamping method to help reduce manufacturing times and improve quality. Training is due to take place in September.
Along with Oertli Tooling and logical Bridge software team we managed to produce traditional mortise and tenons that can be machined in 45 second for each joint.

We are here to give advise and help support the industry as well as there customers. A full survey and report for products on site or due to be delivered, we can help improve the performance for customer and supplier.
